San Francisco Power Outage: Electricity Restored
A major portion of the city was in the dark at one point.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Power has been fully restored at homes, schools and businesses across a major swath of San Francisco.
The power went out for 22,424 customers depicted in the red area on the map. According to PG&E, the outage started at 7:57 a.m. Electricity was gradually restored, with all electricity back on at 12:15.
The outage was triggered when a construction crew hit an underground power line. The construction company, a contractor not affiliated with PG&E, was doing construction near Illinois and 22nd streets. PG&E had previously said the location was at Pier 17.
