San Francisco Tree Lighting Ceremony: Full Schedule
The ceremony in Golden Gate Park is free and kid-friendly.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA â San Francisco's 87th annual Holiday Tree Lighting event today in Golden Gate Park will feature carnival rides, live entertainment and a visit from Santa.
The free event at McLaren Lodge, near Stanyan and Fell streets, will run from 4 to 8 p.m., with the tree lighting scheduled for 6 p.m., according to city officials.
Family-friendly activities will include carnival rides, cookies, arts and crafts for kids, live entertainment and a visit from Santa.

The event will also honor the 150th anniversary of the San Francisco Fire Department. Numerous city officials are expected to attend the event, and Fire Chief Joanne Hayes-White is scheduled to light the tree.
