Swarm Of Earthquakes Rattle NorCal: Did You Feel Them?
A 4.0 earthquake was reported in the North Bay, while a 3.6 registered on the Central Coast Thursday. Smaller ones followed.
HEALDSBURG, CA — A 4.0-magnitude earthquake struck about 13.5 miles of Healdsburg early Thursday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey, one of several reported near California's North and Central coasts early Thursday morning.

The 4.0 quake was reported at 5:48 a.m. in the area around Clearlake. Dozens of people reported feeling the quake, according to USGS's "Did You Feel It?" interactive feature. The quake registered at a depth of 3.4 km.
The quake was followed by several aftershocks of magnitudes from 2.6 to 2.9.

At 6:41 a.m., a 3.6-magnitude earthquake was reported along the Central Coast, about 16 miles north of San Simeon, and 150 miles south of Salinas. USGS users reported feeling that quake lightly from San Luis Obispo to Salinas. The depth was 9.1 kilometers.

A 2.6-magnitude quake occurred at 2:24 a.m. about 54 miles northwest of Fort Bragg, in Mendocino County. It was 1.2 kilometers deep.
At 4:27 a.m., a 2.6-magnitude quake hit off the coast near Petrolia, in Humboldt County. The quake was 17.8 kilometers deep.
