SF Opens Community Grant Applications To Improve Neighborhoods

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — The City and County of San Francisco is encouraging community groups, merchants associations, schools and nonprofit organizations to apply for funding for community-led improvement projects.

The Community Challenge Grant Program funds projects meant to beautify and improve neighborhood spaces in San Francisco.

Previous projects that received resources include art installations, public gardens, streetscaping, play areas and more.

The grant program also works alongside the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission's Urban Watershed Stewardship Grants program, which specifically funds projects that help manage stormwater with green infrastructure.

Applicants have until Nov. 30 to submit their proposal. More information can be found here.
