
SAN FRANCISCO, CA — A 40-year-old man died early Saturday morning after being struck by a vehicle while crossing 19th Avenue in San Francisco.
The collision was initially reported at 1:39 a.m. at 19th Avenue and Winston Drive near San Francisco's Stonestown Galleria mall, police said.
The victim had crossed 19th Avenue in a crosswalk against a red light. A vehicle heading south on 19th Avenue on a green light then struck him, according to police.

Medical personnel transported the victim to a hospital but he was pronounced dead upon arrival, police said.
The city's medical examiner's office is working to identify him.

The driver was not arrested.
