A suspect reportedly stole a vehicle that was left with its engine running while two children were inside. Police found them hours later.
SAN FRANCISCO, CA — San Francisco Police officers recovered two missing children hours after an Amber alert was issued Saturday night, police announced on Twitter.
The two young children were left inside a vehicle with its engine running at around 8:47 p.m. while the driver was making a food delivery. A suspect reportedly stole the Honda Odyssey on the 2100 block of Jackson Street, prompting officers to trigger an Amber alert and a search for the vehicle.
The vehicle and both children — a 4-year-old and a 2-year-old — were found in the city's Bayview District by local officers there, the San Francisco Police Department said.
