SAN FRANCISCO, CA — As the weekend wraps up, we've rounded up all the stories you may have missed Saturday and Sunday to prepare you for Monday.

But before we jump into Northern California’s top stories, Golden State residents should know California saw record low employment in July — a 3.9 percent unemployment rate not seen since record-keeping began in 1976, Gov. Gavin Newsom's office announced on Friday.

Also, police at UC Berkeley are looking for an arsonist who attempted to cause a fire at a UC construction site Sunday, and roadway improvement projects will begin Monday on Highways 1 and 35 in San Mateo County. Motorists are advised to expect intermittent delays.
