Suspect Detained In Chinatown Stabbing: Police
A suspect was detained after the stabbing, police said.
SAN FRANCISCO, CA — A person was detained Thursday after a stabbing left a victim with life-threatening injuries near Stockton and Sacramento streets, authorities said.
Officers with the San Francisco Police Department responded about 1:13 p.m. to a report of a stabbing in the area and found a victim suffering from an apparent stab wound, according to the police.
Police provided aid until paramedics arrived. The victim was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, SFPD said.

During the investigation, deputies with the San Francisco Sheriff's Department located a person matching the suspect's description near the 600 block of Powell Street and detained the individual without incident, authorities noted.
Police later established probable cause to arrest the suspect, though authorities said the person's identity and potential charges are still pending.
