Terror Vault: Steel Nerves Needed At Haunted San Francisco Mint
"Veteran fear experts" are behind this terrifying, new Halloween attraction. Throw caution to the wind! Tickets on sale.
SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Brace yourself: Opening for the 2018 Halloween season at the San Francisco Mint, the new haunted attraction Terror Vault promises to do its best to terrorize guests with a combination of theater, haunted mazes, escape rooms and special effects.
"Inspired by the City and The Mint, local producers, designers, artists and veteran fear experts combine genuine history with modern technological magic to create an interactive haunted experience unlike any other attraction," said producers from Into The Dark, a new Bay Area company spawned from the creative, twisted minds of Peaches Christ, David Flower Productions and Non Plus Ultra.
"Terror Vault is an imaginative historical horror come-to-life."

And with The Mint as the backdrop, their horrifying creativity does, indeed, come alive for guests who are led by tour guide "Tina" down a dark narrow, back staircase where they will -- uh-oh! -- meet characters who, "rumor has it, were once held at a secret prison in the dungeons below ground."
A full cash-bar will be open each night of the production -- handy for those who need some liquid courage!

Terror Vault runs Oct. 10 through Nov. 3, with time slots every 30 minutes from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. The attraction lasts about 45 minutes and is for those 21 and older. Tickets are $60, and now are on sale at Eventbrite.
Attendees uncomfortable interacting with the vault’s murderous characters (i.e. scaredy-cats!) can choose to “opt-out” anytime by wearing special neon necklaces that signal actors that they choose to be passive participants and watch the story unfold around them.
In addition to Terror Vault, Into The Dark also is hosting another attraction at The Mint, an interactive game called Dead Zone: Zombie Tag for ages 10 and up.
Players wear special tags that display green lights as long as that player hasn’t come into contact with a zombie. But once a player is “bit,” they’ve got precious seconds to live!
Dead Zone: Zombie Tag will be on the building's main level and open from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays from Oct. 12 through Nov. 3. Tickets are $19.95 and available now on Eventbrite.
