Tiburon Woman Embezzled Over $1 Million From Family-Run Business: DA
The woman was a bookkeeper from the small business, authorities said.
TIBURON, CA ā A Bay Area woman has been accused of embezzling more than $1 million from a local family-run business.
Prosecutors say 52-year-old Tiburon resident Lilian Elizabeth Williams began working as a bookkeeper for the family-run business in 2018.
Using her knowledge of the payroll systems, Williams created two profiles for herself and began collecting two paychecks each month, according to the San Francisco District Attorney's Office.
