Suspicious Package At San Francisco Airport Disrupts Travelers Sunday
Authorities cleared a food court and the D gate area of the airport Sunday.

SAN FRANCISCO — An unattended item left in the Terminal 2 food court at San Francisco International Airport resulted in authorities clearing both the dining area and D gate "out of an abundance of caution," the airport tweeted Sunday.
San Francisco police responded around 11:30 a.m. to a suspicious package in the terminal, according to law enforcement.
"The area was evacuated and additional SFPD resources arrived on scene to investigate and resolve the situation," Officer Robert Rueca said in an email. "The package and area was deemed safe and normal operations have resumed."
