Watch As Armed Robbers Grab Baby From Carseat In San Francisco: Police

BREAKING: Police released video of the crime. The baby was returned to her mother, a US Army veteran.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Police are asking for the public's help identifying the suspects in the robbery of a single mom with a 1-year-old daughter on Saturday night in San Francisco.

The victim was parking her car at 10:26 p.m. in the garage of her apartment complex on Florida Street when she got out of the car and was met by two men.

One of the suspects allegedly pointed a gun at her and demanded the car. The other suspect, who was not armed, opened the back door to the car and allegedly jerked the baby out of a car seat, according to police.

The suspects allegedly took the victim's backpack containing belongings and cash, which she took out of the bank Saturday to buy a birthday cake and decorations for her daughter's upcoming birthday party.

The suspects returned the child to its mother and ran from the garage.

The victim is a U.S. Army veteran.Police said they later found the victim's wallet but the cash was
gone.


Police are describing both suspects as 20- to 30-year-old Hispanic men.

They were wearing dark clothing.

Officers are investigating whether the same suspects are connected to a carjacking at 10:58 p.m. Saturday in the 600 block of Hampshire Street, according to police.

Anyone who recognizes the suspects or anyone with information about the two cases is asked to call police anonymously at (415) 575-4444 or text a tip to TIP411 and begin the message with SFPD.

Anyone who sees the suspects should consider them armed and dangerous and immediately call 911.
