Weekend Shooting Victim Identified

Police are still seeking witness statements.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — A man killed in a shooting in San Francisco's South of Market neighborhood Saturday evening has been identified as 33-year-old Alfredo Dixon, the medical examiner's office said today.

Dixon, whose city of residence was not available, was shot around 5:50 p.m. at Sixth and Natoma streets, according to police.

He was taken to a hospital where he died, according to police.

No arrest or suspect information has been released. Anyone with information about the shooting is being asked to call the Police Department's anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4445 or to text a tip to TIP411 and start the message with "SFPD."
