SAN FRANCISCO, CA — The San Francisco Giants' quest for a fourth World Series championship in the 2010s begins tonight in New York as they face the Mets in a one-game wild card playoff. On the mound will be ace Madison Bumgarner. Giants batters will face Mets ace Noah Syndergaard.

Giants fans know that their 2014 World Series crown began with a wild card win over the Pittsburgh Pirates. They also won the Series in 2012 and 2010. Many fans swear by a belief in an even-year destiny for their beloved team.

Not on the roster for tonight's game is Eduardo Nunez, who's still dealing with a strained hamstring.
