Center for Spiritual Living, San Jose, Celebrates World Day of Service

San José, CA – On Saturday, September 13, 2025, the Center for Spiritual Living San José (CSLSJ) will join with hundreds of Centers for Spiritual Living across the globe to participate in the Annual World Day of Service. This day brings communities together to engage in meaningful acts of kindness and service that create a ripple effect of love and positive change in the world. World Day of Service is an opportunity for individuals and groups to give back through projects that uplift the local community and the environment.

This World Day of Service reflects the Center’s commitment to living its spiritual principles through action, demonstrating that when we come together in service, we create a better world for all.

How to Participate

We will meet on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 9:00 AM in the parking lot of Big 5/Walmart, located at 1472 Monterey Rd, San Jose, CA 95112. From there, we will gather supplies and walk together to the intersection of Alma Avenue and Monterey Road near the Sacred Heart Community Center for a litter cleanup. All supplies will be provided. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing, closed-toe shoes, and sunscreen. Families, friends, and community members of all ages are welcome—this is a wonderful way to connect, make a visible difference in our neighborhood, and share in the joy of service.

The Center for Spiritual Living San Jose (CSLSJ) is a spiritual community dedicated to teaching and practicing principles of Science of Mind philosophy to inspire personal transformation and create a world that works for everyone. For this event, we are partnering with Spirit for Change Now Inc., founded by Stephanie Chacon. The organization’s mission is to help the community by bringing awareness to proper disposal of waste through education, practice, and consistency. Their goal is to help San José schools, businesses, and neighborhoods go green, and they actively work with schools, businesses, and residential areas to achieve this.
