1001 farces, fun and dreams

Fairfax Players brings 1001 Dreams to life

Bring the kids and join your neighbors this weekend to enjoy family-friendly theater under the stars in Peri Park.

Last year, writer, director, and producer Sam Parry brought us his first full length work Relativity-The Musical. He's back again in association with the Fairfax Players to present the farcical A Thousand and One Dreams.

"It's a good humored 'Parry-D' on Shakespeare, Burton and others of the ilk," said Parry, replete with special effects, catchy songs, romance and swordplay.

Parry and The Players have constructed a 60-foot makeshift stage in Peri Park to house the production. With its colorful sets and playfully strung lights, it conjures up comparison to the stage Bottom would have build in A Midsummer Night's Dream, had they the backing from the city.

The stage will come down with the curtain on Aug. 7, giving you four more chances to see the show!
