Now touring out of the San Francisco Bay Area, Michelle will take you through the adventures of her life with insightful lyrics, powerful vocals, energetic delivery, and electric violin hooks! The artist and songwriter Michelle will reflect on the experiences she has been through, from the rigid and committed work as a classical violinist and singer during her early days in Northern California, to the happy and festive Celtic music honed in Scotland. From the structured sounds of the classrooms at Berklee School of Music in Boston to the years spent perfecting her storytelling on the stages of the Honky Tonks in Nashville, Michelle has emerged as the professional entertainer guaranteed to please audiences of all ages. Don’t be mistaken by her colorful clothes, her flying red ponytails or her candid smile. When Michelle steps on stage, you will witness all of her experiences melded together to generate a result that defies music genres or styles. Newly announced dates include the Point Richmond Outdoor Music Series on July 10, the 4th Annual Valley Car Show in Woodacre on July 18, The Barn in Gilroy on July 19, Live on the Avenue in San Anselmo on August 22, the Old Western Saloon in Point Reyes Station on August 28, the&nbsp;&nbsp;Rio Nido Roadhouse on August 30, with stops in Colorado and Wyoming along the way!
With&nbsp;Dirty Souls, Wreckless Strangers return to their rock-and-roll roots, delivering their rawest and most visceral studio effort to date. The six-song collection channels the arena rock spirit of the ’70s and ’80s that shaped the band’s earliest influences while bringing a fresh, modern edge to the sound. The first single,"<a href="https://vyd.co/WrecklessStrangersDirtySoul" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Dirty Soul</a>,"&nbsp;released January 23, is receiving national airplay and is available on major streaming platforms. The band released the full album on March 27.

Come enjoy great music and a message of hope as we explore favorite
Broadway musicals and deeper spiritual themes in our annual “God on
Broadway” series. Shows in this year’s series are: "The Lion King”
(August 2), “Man of La Mancha” (August 9), “The Music Man” (August 16),
and “Maybe Happy Ending” (August 23). Our pianist/composer John
Steiner and guest musicians will perform songs from each production. 

Rev. Cynthia Cochran-Carney will explore meaningful and humorous
connections between Broadway shows and biblical stories, saying “The
arts inform all aspects of our lives, including our spiritual lives.
Many of the musicals look at challenging social issues, including
racism, poverty, exploitation, and diversity. In this time of
polarization and division, the arts can open us up to see joys and
challenges from someone else’s perspective.” 

Sing, laugh and learn valuable life lessons with us in the sanctuary on
Sundays in August at 9:30 am at First Presbyterian Church of San Rafael,
1510 Fifth Avenue The building is handicap accessible. The services

This summer, we are thrilled to celebrate Valley Games X, the tenth anniversary of this one-of-a-kind event that could only happen here in the San Geronimo Valley.
Part Olympics, part block party, and entirely Valley-style, the Valley Games have become one of the Community Center’s most beloved traditions — bringing together neighbors of all ages for a day of friendly competition, laughter, teamwork, and unforgettable community memories.
Held on Saturday, August 29, Valley Games X is a family-friendly event where Valley villages compete in Olympic-style games for glory across a wildly entertaining lineup of events, including Cornhole, Hacky Sack, Ping Pong, Chess, Baking, an Obstacle Course, Basketball Hot Spot, and more.
Representing villages from across the Valley, teams including the Lagunitas Lightning, Forest Knolls Trolls, San Geronimo Running Salmon, Woodacre Wild Turkeys, Nicasio Newts, and the Townies will come together for a full day of camaraderie, community spirit, and good-natured rivalry.
New to the Valley Games? It’s easy to join the fun. Teams are made up based on the village you live in — or identify with — so simply sign yourself or your family up, and we’ll place you on your village team the day of the event.As Valley Games X marks ten years of community fun, this year’s celebration also honors someone who has helped shape the spirit behind the event from the very beginning: the Community Center’s own Helen Ferlino. To top off the festivities, beloved Bay Area band New Monsoon will rock the Community Center Courtyard for an afternoon birthday celebration.
