CHP: Mud and Rock Slides on Highway 1

Problems reported in two Marin locations.

The California Highway Patrol is reporting two mud and rock slides on state highway 1 this afternoon.

The CHP issued a Sig-alert at 12:52 p.m. following a mudslide on state Highway 1 north of Stinson Beach. The slide was reported around 12:05 p.m. A tree blocked one northbound lane of the highway and the CHP has called Caltrans for a front loader.

The Stinson Beach Fire Department was responding to cut the tree and remove it from the road. CHP Officer Andrew Barclay said that slide is almost cleared.
