Emotions, Patriotism Run Strong at Marin's Veterans Day Celebration
An estimated 1,000 were in attendance Tuesday.

Approximately 1,000 people turned out Tuesday to honor our nation’s veterans, particularly Marin’s own local heroes, in San Rafael.
As a part of the annual Veterans Day ceremony, guests were first treated to an indoor presentation and then taken outdoors. It was presented by the Marin County United Veterans Council and sponsored by the County of Marin.
Marin County’s Veterans Services Officer, Sean Stephens, served as keynote speaker for the indoor portion.

And the highlight of the outdoor portion was when three World War II fighter plans soared over the skies.
