Expect More Rain in San Anselmo, Fairfax Monday Night

Rain was forecast to continue in the Bay Area through most of Monday.

Rain will continue in the Bay Area through most of Monday, according to a forecaster at the National Weather Service.

Forecaster Diana Henderson said the storm is moving through the area as expected. As of 4 a.m., the storm dropped more than a half an inch rain in San Francisco.

San Francisco International Airport is reporting a half an inch of rain since the storm began.

At the Oakland Museum just under a half an inch of rain has been reported and as of 4 a.m. San Jose reported two tenths of an inch of rain.

The weather service is predicting showers for Monday night. Showers are more localized, Henderson said.

They can change in intensity more rapidly and are of shorter duration.
