Fairfax Craft Faire This Saturday

Enjoy shopping, live music and food at this sustainable craft fair. New this year is an auction and a baking contest with great prizes.

Come and dry off at the Fairfax Craft Faire this Saturday, December 13, 11:00am until 5:00pm, at the Fairfax Pavilion, 142 Bolinas Road, Fairfax. There will be a wide variety of local artists and crafts people selling their sustainably derived wares. The event will feature favorite vendors from last year as well as new participants and offerings.

Enjoy the festive environment with wonderful live music, crafts for kids, a bake sale with tasty treats, and chili and macaroni and cheese from Good Earth Natural Foods. Warm up with an organic chai, hot apple cider or hot chocolate made special by See Christian Ellauri of Key Tea, a wonderful new local addition to the fair.

BAKING CONTEST: This year we are having our first Baking Contest at the fair! The contest will include two categories: 1) Cookies and Brownies and 2) Cupcakes and Cakes. Bring your donations to the bake sale by 10:45am to enter. The contest will begin at noon featuring a panel of local judges including Mayor Barbara Coler, Fairfax Council Member Renee Goddard, Taste & Kitchen owner Lorenzo Jones, musician Jack Irving, Lola’s store owner Joelle Levy, and owner of Aphro Cuisine Megan McCulloch. Entries will be evaluated equally based on appearance, taste and ingredients. Prizes from Taste Kitchen & Table will be awarded to the winner in each category.
