ELECTION RESULTS: Fairfax, San Anselmo's November 2017 Races

A live roundup of Tuesday's election results from Fairfax and San Anselmo.

SAN ANSELMO-FAIRFAX, CA – Election Day 2017 is here. Voters in the towns of Fairfax and San Anselmo headed to the polls Tuesday to decide on council contests.

Fairfax Town Council incumbents Barbara Coler and John Reed ran for re-election against four challengers for three open seats. The challengers were Bruce Ackerman, a member of the town's Planning Commission; Deborah Benson, an accountant; Charles Cornell, a network systems administrator; and Cindy Swift, a retired information technology manager.

In San Anselmo, incumbents Kay Coleman and John Wright competed against three challengers for three open seats on the San Anselmo Town Council. The challengers were Steve Burdo, a member of the town's Parks and Recreation Commission, as well as entrepreneur Brian Colbert and writer Tom King.

If you're looking for results, you've come to the right place. The county will begin releasing results just minutes after the 46 polling sites across the county close at 8 p.m. Here's what you can expect:

  • 8 p.m.: Results from vote-by-mail ballots returned before Nov. 7 will be released.
  • 9:30 p.m. and about every half-hour thereafter: Results from precincts will be released until complete.
