Fairfax, San Anselmo Residents take Action Against Climate Change
Resilient Neighborhoods Ecoteams are forming in San Anselmo-Fairfax area.

Folks in Fairfax and San Anselmo are embracing the "low-carbon diet." The Rat Pack team reduced 32,682 pounds of annual carbon emissions and took actions to help build a stronger community. Important actions taken by some team members include signing up for MCE’s Deep Green energy, shifting some regular purchases to locally owned business and agriculture, installing gray water systems, reducing the miles they drive by 20%, installing a tankless water heater, preparing household emergency plans, and purchasing emergency supplies for their families.
Resilient Neighborhoods will be starting another Ecoteam in the area on May 25th at 7:30 PM at the Women's Club in Fairfax. Residents are invited to come to the presentation to find out what they can do about climate change. Taking action is important here in Marin because 60% of the CO2 pollution comes from the residents.
The Resilient Neighborhoods program offers practical actions to live more lightly on the earth, reduce bills & water usage, and enhance community resilience.
