FIDDLER ON THE ROOF performs at The Playhouse in San Anselmo

Marilyn Izdebski Productions will present “FIDDLER ON THE ROOF” on Fridays & Saturdays NOVEMBER 14, 15, 21 & 22 at 7:30pm, Saturdays and Sundays NOVEMBER 15, 16, 22 & 23 at 1:00PM at The Playhouse in San Anselmo, 27 Kensington Road.

“FIDDLER ON THE ROOF,” performed by 75 young people from throughout Marin County, is directed by Marilyn Izdebski with musical direction by Judy Wiesen.

“FIDDLER ON THE ROOF,” written by Joseph Stein with music and lyrics by Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick, tells the story of Tevye, who is belabored by the difficult problems of raising and supporting his five daughters in Tsarist Russia. His eldest, Tzeitel, must marry first so that Hodel and Chava can marry. Always trying to keep Tevye and her daughters under control is Golde. The show has some of the most beautiful songs this renown team ever wrote: “Sunrise, Sunset,” “Tradition,” “If I Were A Rich Man,” “Far From the Home I Love,” and many more.
