Fireworks Near San Anselmo & Fairfax July 4th 2020 Canceled

SAN ANSELMO-FAIRFAX, CA — Independence Day events across the country will not look the same this year, thanks to the coronavirus. Most area cities and organizations decided to cancel their Fourth of July events, including in Marin County.

Cloverdale, which was one of possibly only two towns planning a live display in the San Francisco Bay Area (Gilroy being another), announced Wednesday that those plans were scrapped.

However, throughout the North Bay and the SF Bay area, several communities are hosting virtual fireworks and parades, decorating contests and patriotic, fun activities to do from home.

• Roll-Thru Rotary July 4th Celebration: Fun for the kids & starts at 10 a.m.

• Homestead Valley July 4th Parade & BBQ Picnic: canceled.

• Sunrise Rotary 4th of July Parade Virtual. For the first time in a decade, the event goes online with contest and livestreaming activities.
• July 4th 'Napa Lights The Valley' Fireworks: canceled. The city will not host the annual event this year.
• Napa Valley Wine Train Excursion & Fireworks Viewing: Rides on hold for now, and no July 4th event planned, spokesperson said.
