Heading To DMV Monday? You Are Not Alone
You might want to reconsider that trip to the DMV today...

News submitted from the California Department of Motor Vehicles:
The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is informing customers that Monday, Dec. 1, is expected to be one of the busiest days of the year at DMV field offices.
“The Wednesday before Thanksgiving and the Monday after the holiday are busy days at the DMV,” said DMV Director Jean Shiomoto. “We recommend customers make an appointment, use DMV online services, or pick a different day to visit a field office.”
DMV offices were closed from Thanksgiving Day through Sunday.
It is easy to make an appointment to visit a DMV field office; you can make an appointment online, use the DMV now app, or call 1-800-777-0133. Appointments are available up to 90 days in advance for new driver licenses and 45 days in advance for other services.
The DMV also offers over 20 online services on www.dmv.ca.gov. A few of those options include registration and driver license renewals, change of address, and driver record requests. DMV also has Self-Service Terminals (SST’s) in many DMV field offices to renew registration.
