Sky Ranch lies on a ridge between Fairfax and San Anselmo. It is a 16-acre property that has served as an equestrian facility for the last 50 years. It is adjacent to Marin County Open Space and Marin Municipal Water District lands. The Fairfax Open Space Committee, San Anselmo Open Space Committee, and led by the Marin Open Space Trust (MOST), are all currently raising funds to purchase and restore the property as permanent open space. MOST is in contract to purchase the $1.2 million property by February 2015. After purchase and restoration the property will be transferred to the Marin County Parks and Open Space District. For more information about Sky Ranch, visit the MOST website at marinopenspacetrust.org.
