Porchlight Theatre Company presents a summer staging of "Scapino," by Frank Dunlop and Jim Dale. Award-winning director James Dunn helms this outdoor production of "Scapino," a saucy, slapstick comedy about a devious valet who conspires a complex plot to help two pairs of lovers overcome parental opposition. Dunn is known for his outdoor theater productions, having directed 30 years for the Mountain Play Association. "Scapino" marks Dunn's first time directing a production for the Porchlight Theatre Company, an award-winning theater company. The production features Michael Barr as Scapino and Buzz Halsing as his sidekick Sylvestro and local actors Justin Dupuis, Don Wood, Natalie Palan, Carla Pauli, Candace Brown, Ellen Brooks, Christopher Hammond and Ryan Martin. The production is presented in the outdoor Redwood Amphitheater located at the beautiful Marin Art & Garden Center in Ross. Audiences are encouraged to bring picnics. Warm clothing, jackets and blankets are recommended for evening performances. Reservations are recommended.
