By Brent Ainsworth, County of Marin
Marin attorneys are invited to apply for two openings on the Marin Law Library Board of Trustees by the deadline of 5 p.m. January 16, 2015. Marin County Board of Supervisors will make the appointments early next year.
In each California county, a Law Library Board of Trustees is established and governed by California Business and Professions Code Section 6300-6307. The trustees may make and enforce all rules, regulations, and by-laws necessary for the administration, government, and protection of the law library. Trustees appointed by the Board of Supervisors must be members of the California State Bar Association.

The law library underwent a major remodel and reopened in October at 20 N. San Pedro Ave. in San Rafael. It provides access to legal information through a variety of media, research assistance, and technologies needed to give practical expression to the law. According to its mission, it maintains a flexible and supportive presence that fosters the ends of community service and social justice.
