MARIN BAROQUE Chamber Choir and period instrument Orchestra
with Music Director Daniel Canosa, Stage Director Marla Volovna, and
Director/Choreographer Jennifer Meller, with San Francisco Renaissance Dancers,
will present John Blow’s charming opera, Venus
& Adonis, Friday, June 20 and Saturday, June 21, 2014 from 8:00 -
9:30 P.M., at First Presbyterian Church San Anselmo, 72 Kensington Rd 94960. The first English opera, written for the
entertainment of the king, it tells the tale of Venus & Adonis including
Cupid and her young student Cupids, shepherdesses and shepherds, huntsmen, the
Three Graces and dancers. The setting is
our magical Courtyard Theater. Tickets
