THE MELANTHIUM ENSEMBLE, with its signature contemporary classical style, combines elements of jazz, classical, bluegrass, folk and gospel, as exemplified by one of the group’s signature pieces, Graceful Day, a meditation on “Amazing Grace.”

Band members Lew Richmond (piano), Jay Rizzetto (trumpet), Craig Fry (violin), and Fred Randolph (string bass) are all veterans of the professional music scene. Each brings rich and varied musical experiences as soloists, ensemble players, recording artists and composers.

The Melanthium Ensemble will perform a set of all original music including the premiere of Tara, written especially for this event.
