MMWD and AmeriCorps Stewards Project: San Geronimo Creek Restoration
Marin Municipal Water District is teaming up with the Watershed Stewards Program to give the San Geronimo Creek a make-over in Woodacre CA.
Help remove invasive species and plant native plants, such as white alder and dogwood to stabilize and beautify the streamside. Stabilization of the banks and the planting of native plants will help improve water quality, wildlife habitat and the health of our watershed. Lunch and water will be provided, and come ready for rain!
This event is open to volunteers thirteen and older, and will be hosted from 10 am- 2 pm at the intersection of Railroad Avenue and San Geronimo Valley Road. There will be signs, but parking is limited! Please RSVP ERuiz@marinwater.org.
