MMWD Habitat Restoration - Green Gulch Creek
Help transplant native plants along a newly restored creek Saturday December 20, 2014 9am-3pm
As part of the ongoing restoration of the Redwood Creek Watershed, volunteers will be building habitat for endangered salmon in Green Gulch Creek. This event will be led by members of the AmeriCorps Watershed Stewards Program, along with Green Gulch Farm, MMWD, and the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy. Participants will help transplant native plants along the newly restored creek. Lunch will be provided. We do ask volunteers to pre-register. Event is rain or shine. Meet at Muir Beach parking lot at 9 a.m. or carpool from Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley at 8:30 a.m. (If you’re interested in carpooling, please contact us ahead of time!)
Directions to Muir Beach: From Hwy 101, exit onto CA-1 S, drive 6 windy miles until you reach Pacific Way, turn left (at Pelican Inn) and drive into parking lot. Drive time from Golden Gate Bridge is 25 minutes. Directions to Tamalpais High School: Follow CA-1 N from CA-101. Turn right on Almonte Blvd. Destination will be on the left just after the baseball field.
