November 2017 Election: Marin County Voter Turnout Was 41 Percent
The district election had 74,175 registered voters of which 30,144 cast ballots, according to the Registrar of Voters.

MARIN COUNTY, CA – All votes have been tabulated, and Marin County’s November 7 Local District Election is a wrap. The official results have been posted on the Marin County Elections Department website, www.marinvotes.org.
According to Registrar of Voters Lynda Roberts, the district election had 74,175 registered voters of which 30,144 cast ballots, resulting in nearly a 41 percent turnout. The turnout in the 2015 Local District Election was almost 35 percent. About 78 percent voted by mail for the November 7 election.

The Muir Beach Community Services District had the highest turnout with more than 74 percent. The Lagunitas School District, which voted on Measure A, had over a 56 percent turnout. Six contests were in the 41-48 percent range and five contests had a turnout between 31-36 percent.
In noting that the election ran smoothly, Roberts thanked the hard-working poll workers and Elections Department team, including the help of extra-hire workers.

“In addition to working efficiently and effectively in their areas of expertise, everyone supported all aspects of the process to ensure we fulfill our mission of providing responsive, transparent, and professional elections to inspire trust and confidence,” Roberts said.
The Elections team is starting to prepare for the 2018 gubernatorial election cycle that will include the June 5 primary and the November 6 general elections.
