The hazards statement will stay in effect until Sunday evening. Waves at the beach will be relatively small but the long period of the waves will cause very strong rip currents and a large shore break, according to weather service officials.
Stinson Beach, Twin Lakes State Beach and the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk are susceptible to the dangerous conditions, weather service officials said.
