• Fairfax firefighter quarters reopens following flea treatment (pressdemocrat.com) — Firefighters who had been temporarily housed at Fairfax's community center during station renovations briefly relocated to the Butterfield Road fire station in San Anselmo while their quarters were treated for a flea infestation. With the Fairfax station now reopened and back in service, Ross Valley Fire officials say staffing and responses have returned to normal after the raccoon-linked flea problem.

• Bay Area music community rallies around Johnny Cash tribute guitarist after series of strokes (sfchronicle.com) — San Anselmo resident and Johnny Cash tribute guitarist Danny Uzilevsky is recovering from multiple strokes that left him with serious mobility and vision challenges. His partner, singer Essence Goldman, has launched a GoFundMe to help cover extensive medical care, rehabilitation, and living expenses as he faces a long recovery and is unable to perform or teach for now.
