The Happiest Fair on Earth, A History of the Marin County Fair

The San Anselmo Historical Society presents THE HAPPIEST FAIR ON EARTH, A History of the Marin County Fair on Thursday, May 14 at 7:30 p.m. in the San Anselmo Town Council Chambers. Jim Farley will present an illustrated talk on the history of the Marin County Fair, Marin’s largest community celebration, from its beginnings in the 1920s to the years at Marin Art & Garden Center in Ross and the Civic Center. Jim served as manager of the fair for nearly 30 years. He will share some of the fair’s highlights and innovations that shaped the fair industry nationwide.
