First Presbyterian Church Stands with the People of Ferguson, MO at a Service for Solidarity and Healing

On Thursday evening, December 4, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. First Presbyterian Church of San Anselmo will hold a Service of Solidarity and Healing. In addition to prayers for healing, we will stand in solidarity with the people of Ferguson, MO and those who struggle with racism and privilege. The service will be held at First Presbyterian Church of San Anselmo, 72 Kensington Avenue (intersection Ross Avenue), in the main sanctuary.

Earlier this year, First Presbyterian made a commitment to hold the community of Ferguson, MO in our prayers and stay in touch with a local congregation. As a part of that commitment, we sent 1,300 origami paper cranes (symbols of peace) to the First Presbyterian Church of Ferguson, MO. Some of these cranes were folded by residents and friends at the Country Fair Day in downtown San Anselmo on September 28. An educational series on racism and white privilege will begin in February.

Additional details about the Service for Solidarity and Healing and directions can be found at www.togetherweserve.org.
