The Drake Scholarship Foundation proudly announces the 2013 recipients of 20 $3,000 scholarships given in honor or memory of people who significantly inspired Drake students over the school's 62-year history. Recipients are selected by a committee of school staff on the basis of academic achievement, service to the school and community, good citizenship and financial need.
It is the mission of the Foundation to assist worthy graduates to continue their education by providing financial assistance and also to recognize outstanding achievement in high school. This year's awardees are bright, hard working students who found time to pursue outside interests while maintaining high academic standards.
