On Wednesday, September 13, 2017, at 8:43 p.m., San Bruno Police Officers responded to City Park regarding the report of an armed robbery. The investigation revealed that the victim was approached by four male suspects inside the park. One of the suspects brandished a knife and demanded property from the victim. When the victim attempted to run away, the suspects chased and assaulted him. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries, and was not stabbed during this altercation.
As a result of a subsequent investigation, San Bruno Police investigators identified one of the suspects in this case as nineteen year old San Bruno resident Cristian Garibay. On Saturday, September 16, 2017, at 12:10 a.m., officers arrested Garibay and booked him into the San Mateo County Jail for charges related to robbery, conspiracy, and a probation violation. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.

SUBJECT: Thief Arrested

TIME OCCURRED: 6:22 p.m.
On Friday, September 15, 2017, at 6:22 p.m., San Bruno Police Officers responded to the parking lot of the Towne Center shopping area regarding the report of a vehicle burglary that had just occurred.
While searching the area, San Bruno Police Officers detained two adult males that matched the description provided by witnesses. A search of one of these suspects, thirty-four year old Charles Burkdoll of San Francisco, revealed that he was in possession of a collapsible baton and a bicycle that was reported stolen earlier in the day in Sausalito. Burkdoll also attempted to discard numerous credit and identification cards prior to police contact. The investigation revealed that these cards were stolen in a recent vehicle theft that occurred in San Francisco.
A search of the second suspect, twenty-four year old Kenneth McCurry of San Mateo, revealed that he was in possession of a pipe used to smoke controlled substances.
Burkdoll was booked into San Mateo County Jail for charges relating to identity theft, possession of a prohibited weapon, and possession of stolen property. McCurry was cited and released from the scene for possession of controlled substance paraphernalia.

SUBJECT: Armed Robbery

On Friday, September 15, 2017, at 9:31 p.m., San Bruno Police Officers responded to Tanforan Mall regarding the report of an armed robbery. The investigation revealed that during a physical altercation between two groups of juveniles, three suspects from one of the groups displayed knives and robbed the victims of personal items. The suspects were described as follows:
Suspect 1 – Black male, 16-18 years old, approx. 5’06” tall with a thin build
Suspect 2 – Black or Hispanic male, 15-16 years old, approx. 5’06” tall with a thin build Suspect 3 – Black or Hispanic male, 15-16 years old, approx. 5’06” tall with a thin build
The suspects fled the scene and have not been located.

On Saturday, September 16, 2017, at approximately 1:28 PM, San Bruno Police Officers responded to the Tanforan Mall regarding the report of a fight.
The subsequent investigation revealed that two juvenile suspects assaulted another person. During the commission of the assault, the suspects took property belonging to the victim. Shortly following the commission of this crime officers located the juvenile suspects in the area and took them into custody. Both juveniles were booked into the San Mateo County Youth Services Center for robbery charges.
