BAYHILL Specific Plan update and July 31 2018 Meeting announcement

Hello All,

Find out what's happening in San Brunofor free with the latest updates from Patch.

As you are aware, the City is leading preparation of a Specific Plan for the Bayhill Office Park and nearby areas. The Planning area is approximately 98 acres in total area and is bounded by Interstates 280 to the west and 380 to the north, El Camino Real to the east, and San Bruno Avenue West to the south. A map of the Specific Plan area is attached for reference.

The Bayhill Specific Plan will outline a cohesive, long-term, community driven vision for this key area, which is home to the largest cluster of offices in the city, including Walmart.com, Kaiser Permanente, and the headquarters of YouTube, as well as several other uses.

The first round of Community Outreach was completed in August and September of 2017, and consisted of a Property Owner Forum, Community Workshop, City Council/Planning Commission Meeting, and Stakeholder Interviews. Based on the results of the initial outreach, and resulting Vision Statement and Project Guiding Principles, as well as information received from YouTube, four concept Alternatives for the Bayhill Specific Plan were developed. The Alternatives explore different ways in which office uses, retail, housing, and public and civic spaces could be distributed within the Bayhill district, framing possible future development patterns.

Alternatives Report & Online Survey

The four concept Alternatives are summarized in the Alternatives Report. The Alternatives report can also be accessed via the Bayhill Specific Plan website.

Additionally, we would like to inform you that the project team has prepared an Online Survey. We encourage you to provide feedback about the four concept Alternatives by participating in the Online Survey. The online survey can be found here and by visiting the Bayhill Specific Plan Website. The survey will be open until midnight on August 12, 2018. Please forward the online survey to any interested parties. Our goal is to receive as much feedback as possible.

Community Workshop #2 – July 31, 2018

The City will be hosting a Community Workshop on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm at the San Bruno Senior Center, 1555 Crystal Springs Road. You are invited to this exciting, interactive, and educational public meeting to provide feedback on the four concept Alternatives.

All feedback received will be considered as the City Council works with the community and project team to develop a Preferred Alternative that will be the base concept to develop the full Specific Plan and full Environmental Impact Report (EIR). The EIR will assess potential environmental impacts of the developed Specific Plan and ways to reduce or avoid any impacts identified.

Updated information will be posted on the Bayhill Specific Plan project website throughout the Planning Process. We encourage you to routinely check the Bayhill Specific Plan website for new updates.

Thank you,
