Caltrain is scheduled to perform foundation installation work in San Bruno to support the Caltrain Electrification Project. This work will require a temporary closure of the railroad undercrossing located at the Huntington Avenue and San Mateo Avenue intersection from 8:00 p.m. on August 16 to 6:00 a.m. on August 17.
On the night of the closure, the San Bruno Avenue undercrossing will remain open as a detour during construction. Illuminated and directional signs will direct vehicle traffic to use San Bruno Avenue as a detour on the night of the closure.

Foundation work will consist of excavation, placement of rebar, concrete fill, and electrical grounding. Crews will utilize on-track foundation trains that will require the temporary undercrossing closure to comply with safety regulations and to avoid accidents or injuries that could result from objects or debris falling on vehicles, structure collapse, exposure to underground services or from the moving of objects and equipment.
Caltrain apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and the field team will work as quietly as possible.
