Alert Neighbor Helps Officers Catch Two Burglars!

Last Thursday, 05-28-15, an alert neighbor happened to look out his bedroom window and saw a subject go to his neighbor’s house and believed he either knocked on the door or rang the doorbell. He then saw the subject walk to the side of the house towards the backyard. The neighbor saw another subject walk to the side of the same house towards the backyard. The neighbor knew the owner of the residence had left several minutes before the two subjects arrived. The neighbor did not feel right about what he saw, so he called the police. Officers were able to detain both subjects in the area, after they had entered the residence and stole jewelry. The neighbor positively identified the subjects, and they were arrested.

This is a prime example of why “When You See Something, Say Something” works. We always say you know your neighborhood the best. If something doesn’t look “right”, it just may not be right. Thanks to this alert neighbor, the burglars were caught, and he may have prevented other people being victims of burglaries.
