For you and me, Thanksgiving is likely a time for celebration, family traditions, and an overabundance of food. But for a growing number of families in Silicon Valley, it's a day filled with disappointment because they've worked hard and there still won't be enough to eat.
An estimated 450,000 people in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties are at risk of being hungry and not getting help. For these people, the inability to stretch their dollars despite working one or two jobs has become a new way of life.
