Duo Tries to Flush Fake Credit Cards Down Toilet As San Bruno Police Bust In: Cops

Police arrested them for possession of a controlled substance, alteration of an access card, and obstructing/delaying police.

Police arrested two suspects at a San Bruno hotel this weekend, one of whom was wanted for a previous crime.

Police responded to the Ramada San Bruno SFO Airport hotel at 500 El Camino Real around 9:15 p.m. in an effort to detain the suspect, who was wanted for a felony he committed in San Mateo County.

Officers approached the hotel room and attempted to contact the occupants inside. According to police, the suspects were delaying for several minutes before opening the door.

Officers searched the room and found credit cards suspected to be fraudulent in the water tank of the toilet, as well as a substance suspected to be methamphetamine. Police believe the suspects had attempted to destroy the evidence.

Officers identified the suspects as Vincent Williams, 32, of South San Francisco, and Ronette Torres, 43, of Fresno.

Both Williams and Torres were booked into the San Mateo County Jail for possession of a controlled substance, alteration of an access card, and obstructing/delaying police.
