SUBJECT: Fatal Hit and Run Traffic Collision

CASE NUMBER: 1704424

DATE OCCURRED: December 17, 2017

TIME OCCURRED: 7:06 A.M.

On Sunday, December 17, 2017 at 7:06 A.M., San Bruno Police Officers responded to the report of a pedestrian laying just off the side of the roadway on State Highway 35 (Skyline Blvd), between College Drive and Sharp Park Road, San Bruno.

The pedestrian was evaluated at the scene by responding medical personnel, but was pronounced deceased. Based on evidence located at the scene, it appears the pedestrian was struck by a vehicle. The vehicle involved in the collision was not located in the area.

The pedestrian’s name is being withheld at this point, pending the San Mateo County Coroner’s ability to notify next of kin.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing and is being led by the Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) with the assistance of the Investigative Services Section.
