TIME OCCURRED: 7:33 pm

On Thursday, November 9, 2017, at 7:33 pm, San Bruno Police Officers responded to the report of a hit and run traffic collision on San Bruno Avenue near 7th Avenue in San Bruno. A subsequent investigation revealed that a vehicle had struck another vehicle causing it to roll over. The driver of the vehicle that had caused the collision fled the area.

A short time later, officers located the vehicle that had fled, on the shoulder of Interstate 101. The driver of this vehicle, identified as forty-two year old San Jose resident Dung Ha, had exited the vehicle and was running toward a field adjacent to the highway. Ha was quickly apprehended and taken into custody. He was booked into the San Mateo County Jail for charges related to felony hit and run.

The occupant of the vehicle struck by Ha was transported to a local hospital for treatment for non-life threatening injuries.

SUBJECT: Auto Theft

CASE NUMBER: 1703971

DATE OCCURRED: Friday, November 10, 2017

TIME OCCURRED: 6:20 a.m.

On Friday, November 10, 2017, at 6:20 a.m., San Bruno Police Officers contacted a subject sleeping in a vehicle on Tulare Drive in San Bruno. A subsequent investigation revealed that the vehicle had been reported stolen to the South San Francisco Police Department. Additionally, items collected from inside the vehicle were found to be associated with a theft and identity theft.

The vehicle’s sole occupant, identified as thirty-eight year old East Palo Alto resident Archana Dutt, was arrested and booked into the San Mateo County Jail for charges related to the possession of a stolen vehicle and theft.
