Flight 1721, which departed SFO at 9 a.m., was on its way to Kona, Hawaii, but had to return to SFO because of a “cabin cooling problem,” SFO spokesman Doug Yakel said.

A United Airlines representative confirms the emergency landing to Patch, and says they are working to accommodate all 206 passengers aboard.

“As a precaution, flight 1721 returned to San Francisco today after the crew reported a mechanical issue,” the airline told Patch in a statement. “Our team in San Francisco is working to accommodate all of our customers to Kona today.”

A total of seven crew members were also aboard the Boeing 757, officials said.
