Housing Leadership Day is October 20th at the College of San Mateo

Join us! Our annual policy conference Housing Leadership Day will be held at the College of San Mateo on October 20, 2017. This day-long conference brings leaders from across the region to discuss tangible solutions to the housing crises. This year we are focusing on the connection between housing and health with keynote speaker Steven Sust, a clinical instructor at Stanford University.

Host a Workshop at HLD!

Call for Proposals: It’s that time of year again! HLC’s annual conference is on October 20th, and we’re putting together our workshops. This year’s theme is Healthy Homes: Why Housing Matters for Health. Your workshop can briefly touch on the relationship between health and housing, or center on them. Click here to view the application. Deadline for submission is August 25th.

Waitlist Open: Senior Affordable Housing in Redwood City

Casa de Redwood, a community of low-income housing for seniors, will open its waiting list on July 12. This location is very popular, so apply right away if interested. The County of San Mateo Releases RFP

The Housing Authority of the County of San Mateo (HACSM) announced the release of a Request for Proposals for the Midway/Bayshore Redevelopment Project. HACSM is inviting affordable housing developers to submit a description of their qualifications together with a conceptual proposal to redevelop three contiguous properties: the Housing Authority’s Midway Village property, the Bayshore Park property, and an approximately half-acre parcel located within Midway Village containing the Bayshore Child Development Center. Through this RFP process, HACSM intends to select an affordable housing developer team to redevelop, own, operate and manage the improvements at the Midway/Bayshore Redevelopment Site under a long-term ground lease with HACSM or its affiliate. There will be a Pre-Submission conference and site walk-through for prospective applicants on Thursday, July 20th from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 at the Midway Village community room, 47 Midway Drive, Daly City. Attendance is not required but is strongly encouraged. The deadline for submitting proposals is 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 28, 2017.
