UPDATE: Peninsula Man Identified in Deadly Hit-and-Run

Police say the 27-year-old man was found lying in the middle of the roadway, and that whomever struck him fled the scene.

SAN BRUNO, CA- A pedestrian was killed while crossing a San Bruno roadway early Monday morning, and police are searching for a suspect, police report.

According to San Bruno Police Lt. Troy Fry, the crash happened overnight on Skyline Boulevard, near Skyline College. Police are investigating the crash as a hit-and-run.

"... At approximately 1:40 a.m., the San Bruno Police Department received a report of a subject running in the lanes of traffic on State Highway 35 (Skyline Boulevard) near College Drive," Fry reported in a news release. "While officers were en-route, an additional caller reported that the subject had been struck by a vehicle traveling in a southbound lane."

Fry says the vehicle, believed to be a dark-colored 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLA, fled the scene. There is no license plate information available.

"We do have witnesses we are working with that saw the collision," Sgt. Kevin McMullen told KTVU in an early morning broadcast.

Fry identified the victim as 27-year-old San Bruno Resident Scott Glasner. He was pronounced dead at the scene, after he was found with major injuries, lying in the roadway.

Police asked that anyone who may have seen the crash or suspect vehicle to contact them at 650-616-7100.
